About us - We started because websites kept crashing at the worst possible moment.

In 2015, Oliver noticed a pattern: every time a major brand ran a TV campaign, their website crashed during the ad break — exactly when curious viewers searched for the product. BMW, Ritter Sport, you name it. The fix was obvious. The tooling wasn't. Stress testing required specialists, budgets, and weeks of lead time. Stressmaniacs were born. A self-service platform where any project manager could simulate realistic traffic spikes in minutes — no specialists, no lead time, no surprises on campaign day.

What we do today

Performance and speed are in our DNA — not just as a product feature, but as a mindset that shapes everything we build and every engagement we run. We obsess over throughput, bottlenecks, and efficiency whether we’re advising on IT strategy, building SaaS tools, or training engineering teams.

Today, stressmaniacs operates across four areas: IT consulting, custom software development, technical training, and the bootstrapping of new service lines. The common thread is the same as in 2015: move fast, automate aggressively, and care about outcomes over process.

A concrete example of what “performance by default” means in practice: 4chems.com — our cloud-hosted IUCLID environment for chemical compliance. We didn’t just host IUCLID; we optimized every layer, including hardware selection, to deliver one of the fastest IUCLID environments on the market. When performance is non-negotiable, you go all the way down the stack.

How we work

We ask where it hurts first. Before writing a single line of code or a single slide, we spend time understanding the actual pain — the slow process, the missing tool, the bottleneck that costs hours every week. The right problem is half the solution.

We go hands-on fast. Long documentation and discovery phases are a comfort blanket. We prefer a working prototype in two weeks over a requirements document in eight. Feedback on something real is worth more than alignment on something abstract.

We use automation and AI to punch above our weight. A small team can deliver what larger teams can’t when it systematically eliminates manual work. We apply this to our own processes first — and build it into everything we deliver for clients.
